Council regularly makes development decisions that influence where you live, how you live, and the types of activities and land uses permitted around the region.

Council is currently preparing a Local Strategic Planning Statement and is seeking community input on strategic planning issues including land use, identifying unique local characteristics and managing future growth and development.

This consultation is your opportunity to be involved in the vision for land use in the region and help identify the strategic planning initiatives that Council will pursue in the future.

Council has developed five short surveys to capture community input on the relevant issues and themes that may inform the preparation of the Local Strategic Planning Statement.

You’re invited to complete one or all of the surveys below.

    Council’s Draft Local Strategic Planning Statement is on public exhibition.

    The Draft Local Strategic Planning Statement outlines the vision for land use planning over the next twenty years along with planning priorities and actions to guide future land use decisions.

    The document is available on YourSay.

    Council welcomes written submissions addressed to the General Manager. Submissions will be received up until 4.30pm, on Wednesday 29 April 2020.
