Community Invited to Mudgee Skate Park Opening
Children and their families are invited to Mudgee Skate Park for a free ice block to celebrate the official opening of the new park upgrade.
Mayor Des Kennedy will officially open the $250,000 park extension on Thursday 20 December in time for the first day of School Holidays.
“We hope to see many children and their families come along and try out the new park that was developed with ideas provided by the community,” Cr Kennedy said.
“Bring the kids down to collect their free ice block and take a run on this fantastic new facility.”
Council met with users of Mudgee Skate Park during an onsite meeting earlier this year to discuss and listen to ideas and options for the upgrade of the park.
These submissions were incorporated into design concepts that were placed on public exhibition with the community voting on their preferred design.
Mudgee Skate Park will be formally opened at 10am Thursday 20 December following the short ceremony free ice blocks will be handed out.
All residents welcome.
