Mudgee Off-Leash Dog Park

Council is continuing its investment in local recreational facilities and is seeking to improve the off-leash dog park within the Glen Willow Regional Sports Precinct.

Council is planning to relocate the existing dog park to a new site nearby, expanding the facility and incorporating additional features, with direct access to the popular riverside walking track.

As part of the project, Council is undertaking community consultation and residents are encouraged to complete the below survey and attend the on-site information session on Wednesday 9 September.

Council is planning to relocate the existing dog park to a new site nearby, expanding the facility and incorporating additional features, with direct access to the popular riverside walking track.

What is proposed?

Council is proposing to relocate the existing dog park to the open space section adjacent to the Glen Willow Suspension Bridge.

Key design features include:

  • Perimeter fencing
  • Designated combined, smaller paws and large paws sections
  • ‘Air-lock’ style entrance/exit gates
  • Landscape plan, including trees for shade, sensory areas for dogs and irrigated turf
  • Drinking stations for both dogs and people
  • Provisions for user seating, shade shelter and bins (including dog waste bags)
  • Designated parking area and service/maintenance access
